To cope with continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer at our Somerset distribution centre. Heronhill are well known, specialist distributors of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and humidification equipment based in Wellington, Somerset. The role, to work alongside our existing TSE, is an ideal opportunity for an experienced air conditioning/ refrigeration service engineer who is looking to come off the tools and move into an office based technical role. Alternatively, it will suit an electrical engineer who wants to develop skills within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry in a varied job which covers a broad spectrum of the HVAC industry.
The Position
The successful Technical Support Engineer will be office based in Wellington, Somerset providing support to our customers, maintaining our high standard of customer service.
- Providing load calculations
- Advising on product selections
- Providing application assistance
- System diagnostics/troubleshooting
- Generation of and following up quotations
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Technical Support Engineer role will have experience with all types of refrigeration/air conditioning equipment, including splits and multi splits in addition to VRF systems. IT experience and a good understanding of HVAC controls recommended/essential. Attention to detail
Preferably, candidates should hold an NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning although adequate industry experience will be considered. Relevant manufacturer’s training would be advantageous.
The candidate must have a pleasant manner, be a team player and be able to work under pressure in a busy sales office.
Package
For the successful candidate, we are offering an attractive package which is negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications. The successful applicant will be entitled to 24 days’ holiday + Bank holidays per annum and a generous pension scheme. A company bonus scheme is also available.
