Nov 2006: TB3199 - ROHS Compliance of Marstair L Controls

8th November 2006

The ROHS directive was introduced on 1st July 2006 (ROHS stands for: the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment).

As backward compatibility is not possible, we are compelled to change the way that spares are provided for L controls:

Version 1 L controls remain available under their respective part numbers.

Version 2 L controls are now obsolete, with the exception of sensors, which are compatible with the ROHS components. If either a main PCB or a receiver board is required as a spare, both items, plus the connecting cable, must be replaced.
