The importance of Nordmann equipment in the humidification market can be seen in the prestigious contract that was completed at Hunters & Frankau, which is regarded as the UK’s leading importer of cigars.    

Selling 20 million cigars a year its range includes 22 world-famous Havana brands, comprising over 200 products, as well as a selection of fine cigars from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Switzerland and Holland .  Established in 1790 Hunters & Frankau now sells between 3.5-5 million Cuban ‘sticks’ a year and has its headquarters, show room and training facilities in Hurlingham, South West London.   

But fine cigars – like fine wines – need to be kept at optimum conditions, which is where Heronhill and Nordmann provided an important solution earlier this year.  

Hunters & Frankau’s south west London head office and showroom had a need for correct humidity control for its thousands of cigars.  

To obtain the correct humidity control, so important for the storage of high quality cigars, two Nordmann AT300/422 4kg/hr humidifiers, each fitted with proportional controllers in conjunction with a concealed ducted air conditioning system were installed.  The system was installed by Maskold Ltd on behalf of the main contractor, H L Smith.
